Course Objectives Tin Whiskers were investigated and "solved" in the 1950s so why are we talking about them in 2018? The objective of this tin whisker course is to : (1) Provide a basic understanding of a tin whisker phenomena; (2) Provide data and resources allowing an attendee to create a tin whisker mitigation protocol applicable for their product/use environment; (3) Provide an update of some of the latest industry tin whisker investigations, testing results, and publicized product failures.
